Best wishes for Rush-October 2001

Rush Limbaugh announces the news of his struggle with deafness, and 52,444 of you sign a card giving him your best wishes. The card, and your electronic signatures were bundled up and sent to Rush. This project was a great success; just another example of the what we can all do when we work together. The best part is that since then, we've done alot more.

Dear Rush:

This is a simple note of thanks.

For more than 14 years, you have been America's voice for Conservative ideas and the ideals of individual liberty. Each day you educate millions, challenging them to be responsible for their actions and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.

Now, your words are proven by your courage as you face the deafness that for others would be career ending. A setback that others would use to engender pity. A hurdle that others would see as a roadblock.

I know you want no pity. For you, hurdles are part of life's obstacle course. A challenge to be met...another record to be set.

You are in my prayers. And you have my thanks for the excellence you continue to broadcast each day.
